Siriporn Wacharakul
HR Director, Manufacturing · Bangkok
"We had a difficult situation with a group of shift workers who felt a policy change had been applied unfairly. After three weeks of internal back-and-forth that was getting nowhere, we engaged thailand-ai-innovate. The difference was the structure — each session had a clear purpose, and both sides knew what they were there to discuss. We reached a workable agreement in five sessions."

"I was sceptical going in — I had been told the process would be neutral but I expected it to favour the company. That was not my experience. The mediator kept the sessions focused on the actual issues rather than letting the company's legal team redirect things. The outcome wasn't everything we hoped for, but it was fair, and it was agreed, not imposed."

Operations Manager · Hospitality
"The initial consultation alone was worth the fee. We were not certain whether mediation was appropriate for our situation, and the session gave us a clear picture of what the process involves and what it does not cover. We decided not to proceed to a full programme, and the mediator said that was a reasonable conclusion given the specifics. That kind of candour is not what I expected."

Thanawat Chairat
Managing Director · Financial Services
"We had a restructuring that affected around forty staff and resulted in a coordinated grievance. We had legal advice that we were within our rights, but the prospect of forty individual cases through the Labour Court was a serious concern. thailand-ai-innovate managed the multi-party programme professionally. The settlement documents held up to legal review without amendment."

Senior Employee Representative · Bangkok
"The written records were something I valued particularly. After each session, we received a document that both sides agreed reflected what had been discussed. That gave me confidence that nothing would be reframed later. I have been through a Labour Court process previously, and the difference in how I felt during these sessions was considerable."

Pattarapong Boonmak
Owner · Retail Business, Bangkok
"A former employee made a complaint I thought was unfair, and I was unsure how seriously to take it. I used the initial consultation to understand the process and whether there was merit in trying mediation. The mediator was straightforward — explained the situation clearly and suggested the issue was resolvable. We settled it in two meetings without any formal proceedings."

Case Studies
Three matters that illustrate how the mediation process worked in practice. Names and identifiable details have been changed.
Case Study 1 · Small Group Programme
Overtime Policy Disagreement, Mid-Sized Manufacturer
The Challenge
Eight production-line staff believed a revised overtime rota had reduced their effective earnings without adequate notice. The company maintained the change was within its rights under existing contracts. Internal HR channels had produced no resolution after six weeks.
The Process
thailand-ai-innovate conducted private sessions with the HR Director and two employee representatives before the first joint session. The agenda for joint sessions focused first on the factual question of what the contract said, then on what both sides considered a fair outcome.
The Outcome
Five sessions over six weeks produced a written agreement: a transitional supplement for affected staff and a revised notice procedure for future policy changes. Both sides signed. No Labour Court filing was made. The settlement was voluntary and remains in effect.
"It felt like both sides were actually heard, rather than talking past each other through solicitors."

Case Study 2 · Multi-Party Programme
Collective Grievance Following Restructuring, Professional Services Firm
The Challenge
A restructuring resulted in thirty-two staff being offered varied terms. Twenty-three of them formed an informal group and raised a coordinated grievance about inconsistency in how severance terms had been calculated. The firm faced potential individual claims from multiple parties.
The Process
Private sessions were held with six employee representatives and three company representatives. Joint sessions addressed the calculation methodology, the legal framework, and the range of terms each party considered acceptable. The process took three months.
The Outcome
A revised settlement framework was agreed, with adjusted terms for nineteen of the twenty-three employees. Settlement documents were drafted by thailand-ai-innovate and submitted to the Labour Court for approval. All nineteen settlements were approved. Four employees chose to pursue individual claims separately.
"The settlement documents were thorough and withstood legal review without needing amendment."

Case Study 3 · Initial Consultation
Contested Dismissal, Small Retail Business
The Challenge
A business owner had dismissed an employee and was uncertain whether the process had been correctly followed. The employee had indicated they were considering a formal complaint. Neither party had taken legal advice.
The Process
An initial consultation was held with the owner and subsequently with the employee separately. The mediator described the process and what a structured mediation would involve. Both parties attended a second joint meeting.
The Outcome
The matter was resolved in the second joint meeting without proceeding to the formal programme. A written understanding was agreed covering a final payment and a reference letter. The employee confirmed the matter was closed. Total cost: ฿3,700.
"I was surprised how much could be resolved in two conversations when there was someone keeping things structured."
